Second choice: March and November
Workable weather for sightseeing and driving, with a real chance of rain and cooler evenings — pack layers.
Think twice: July – August
Coastal towns push past 30°C and inland towns like Enna or Piazza Armerina regularly clear 35–40°C. Mid-August (Ferragosto) is the busiest, most expensive week of the year — book well ahead or avoid it.
