Things to Do in Agrigento
The Valley of the Temples, just outside modern Agrigento, is one of the largest Greek archaeological sites outside Greece itself, with the Temple of Concordia still standing almost whole. There's very little shade across the site, so a morning or early-evening visit beats midday in summer, and the walk between temples is longer than photos suggest, so wear proper shoes. Agrigento's own old town gets far less attention than the ruins below it, and honestly earns less of it too.
