Things to Do in Milazzo

Milazzo's real job is as the main ferry and hydrofoil port for the Aeolian Islands, about 35 minutes from Messina, and most people pass through rather than linger. The town itself has a genuine castle worth an hour and a long, quieter stretch of coast on the Capo Milazzo peninsula if you've got time before a boat. Aeolian sailings are cancellable at short notice in rough seas, so build in slack rather than booking a tight connection either side.
