Things to Do in Marzamemi & Vendicari

Marzamemi is a former tuna fishery turned small fishing village, about 20 minutes south of Noto, with a handful of restaurants around the old tonnara square rather than any single monument. The Vendicari nature reserve next door protects a run of coves and salt pans that draw flamingos in the right season, with beaches reached only on foot from the car parks at either end. Come for a slow half-day of walking and swimming rather than sightseeing — there isn't a headline sight here, and that's the point.
