Things to Do at Scala dei Turchi
Scala dei Turchi is a white limestone cliff carved into stepped terraces by the sea, about 15 minutes from Agrigento, and one of the more genuinely photogenic stretches of this coast without needing a boat to see it. The rock is soft and increasingly fenced off in places to stop erosion from foot traffic, so climbing sections that are roped off isn't just discouraged, it damages the site. It's a beach and a view rather than a full day out — an hour or two combines well with the Valley of the Temples on the same trip.
