Things to Do in Noto
Noto is the best-known of the Val di Noto's baroque towns, rebuilt in warm local limestone after the 1693 earthquake and best seen along the Corso, where the main churches and palazzi line up almost in sequence. It's compact enough to walk in half a day, though the stone glows at its best in late-afternoon light rather than at midday. Most day tours pair it with Modica or Ragusa rather than treating it as a standalone destination, and that combination works — the three towns share history but not the same layout.
